About the Founder

Dr Sam A F February

Founder and Academic & Research Director

The Febrarian Institute

Dr Sam February is a business-school executive, academic, and entrepreneur dedicated to bridging the divide between scholarship and industry. With more than two decades of combined experience in higher education, management consulting, and executive development, his work focuses on leadership, technology, innovation, and the integration of data-driven thinking into organisational practice.
He holds a PhD in Marketing Management, a DTech in Business Administration, and an MBA, reflecting a commitment to both academic excellence and applied industry relevance. Across his career, he has led postgraduate business programmes, supervised master’s and doctoral research, and designed executive-education curricula grounded in systems thinking, sustainability, and innovation.
As Founder of The Febrarian Institute, Dr February established the organisation as a space “where academia meets industry.” His guiding philosophy, the Febrarian 5 I Framework (Inquiry, Integration, Innovation, Impact, Integrity), shapes every aspect of the Institute’s teaching and research. It embodies a belief that leadership is both intellectual and practical, requiring curiosity, coherence, creativity, consequence, and conscience.
Through his leadership, The Febrarian Institute advances the next generation of leaders who connect people, data, and technology to create value and drive sustainable transformation.
